Trusted Windshield Calibration Services

Is your vehicle in need of calibration? Then you are in the right place. Our employees are experts in calibration, and recalibration. Our services include calibration according to certain requirements. We offer you the most reliable service in the town. Your safety is our priority, so the vehicle is calibrated on OEM (original equipment manufacturer) principles. Our expert technicians will provide the services of windshield recalibration. Our team provides the services and guides you about the necessary precautions to make the ADAS work smoothly and accurately.

What is Static Calibration?

Static calibration is a process that is done in a controlled environment using targeting boards set at specific heights, distances, and angles from the vehicle. Using our advanced ADAS windshield calibration equipment, the vehicle is set into calibration mode allowing it to run a series of scans using the targeting boards to calibrate the windshield. Once the calibration is complete, the vehicle will go through an extensive testing process including a test drive to ensure that all systems are properly calibrated.

What is Dynamic Calibration?

Dynamic calibration is many times referred to as on-road calibration due to the majority of the process being done while the vehicle is being driven. Using our diagnostic tool, we will first in-shop determine which of the ADAS features are in need of calibration. Once the diagnostic is complete, depending on which feature is in need of calibration, typically any that utilizes a camera, our team will set the vehicle in calibration mode and take it on the road. In this case, it is very important that it is done with optimal weather conditions and specified distance and speed by the vehicles manufacturer. This process can take anywhere from 5 minutes to 30 minutes to allow the systems to properly calibrate.

Is ADAS Calibration Necessary?

One crucial aspect that often goes overlooked is the necessity for proper ADAS calibration. But is ADAS calibration truly necessary? The answer is a resounding yes, and here's why.

Safety First

The most compelling reason for ADAS calibration is safety. These systems are designed to assist the driver in making better decisions, and inaccurately calibrated systems can not only fail to provide the intended assistance but may also introduce new risks. For example, an improperly calibrated lane-keeping system might guide the vehicle out of a lane rather than keeping it centered.

Manufacturer Guidelines

Most vehicle manufacturers explicitly state in their manuals that ADAS calibration is necessary after certain events such as a windshield replacement, wheel alignment, or even software updates to the vehicle. Ignoring these guidelines can result in a system that does not function as intended, thereby nullifying the benefits of having ADAS features in the first place.

Legal Implications

Failure to calibrate ADAS could also have legal consequences. In the event of an accident where ADAS features are found to have been improperly calibrated, liability could be affected. This could lead to increased insurance premiums or potential legal action if the lack of calibration is linked to the cause of the accident.

Technological Complexity

As vehicles become more advanced, so does the technology that powers them. This complexity necessitates specialized tools and expertise to ensure that ADAS features are properly calibrated. Incorrect calibration could lead to a cascade of errors in related systems, making the vehicle unsafe to operate.

Why Is Calibration Needed?

If you have an auto glass repair or replacement, your vehicle must need calibration because the sensor devices and cameras are misaligned during windshield replacement and will not work properly. It can result in the device malfunctioning. In addition, if your vehicle doesn't give any warning sounds or doesn't provide accurate assistant, it means the devices are misaligned and need recalibration.

Your vehicle also needs calibration after major maintenance and wheel alignment. Because it could misalign the devices with the windshield. Also, if you observe any false signs from the ADAS, like lights and sound appearing unnecessarily or appearing at the right time, it means calibration is due.
